IMA collects and publishes monthly statistics and quarterly statistics for UK Unit Trusts and OEICs.  You can also view fund management companies by the size of the funds they manage.   To view monthly statistics press releases click here or here for quarterly statistics.

IMA maintains and regularly reviews a sector classification system into which IMA member firms classify their UK funds.  In addition, offshore (EU) funds were admitted to the Absolute Return sector from April 2008.  From April 2010 IMA has admitted offshore (EU) funds to other sectors too. 

IMA also carries out an annual asset management survey which measures the size of the industry as well as looking at the main drivers and trends behinds its evolution. The survey covers the size and structure of the industry, ownership of assets managed by the industry, asset allocation, profitability, the prevalence of soft commissions and key trends.  Click here for the latest survey published in July 2009.
