Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA)

AIMA is a not-for-profit association representing the interests of managers of alternative investments including hedge fund managers, managers of managed futures products and fund of funds managers. 

Association of British Insurers (ABI)

The Association of British Insurers is the trade association for the UK's insurance industry. Their members provide all kinds of insurance in Britain and worldwide, including savings, pensions, life and motor insurance. 

Association of  Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA)

AIFA is the trade association for Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs).  Representing 70% of the IFA market, AIFA aims to keep their members informed about developments which affect their business.  

Association of Investment Companies (AIC)

AIC represents investment trust companies and their shareholders and also works closely with the management groups that administer the companies. 

Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME)

AFME role is to promote fair, orderly, and efficient European wholesale capital markets and provide leadership in advancing the interests of all market participants.

Association of Private Client Investment Managers & Stockbrokers (APCIMS)

APCIMS is the association of firms who deal in stocks and shares for private investors. Together their aim is to ensure that the regulatory, tax and other changes across Europe bring real benefits to the investment community. 

Association of Property Unit Trusts (APUT)

APUT is the trade body for the property unit trust sector.  Its aim is to raise awareness of property unit trusts and demonstrate the advantages of these funds as effective investment vehicles. 

British Bankers Association (BBA)

BBA is a not-for-profit association representing the banking industry.  The Association has a wide European and international remit ranging from the regulation of the banking industry to promoting financial inclusion. 

British Venture Capital Association (BVCA)

BVCA is the trade body for private equity and venture capital firms in the UK.  It has 165 members and aims to promote investment in venture capital. 

Building Societies Association (BSA)

BSA represents the interests of the 63 building societies in the United Kingdom.  The website includes member details and building society statistics. 

Confederation of British Industry (CBI)

CBI is a lobbying organisation representing the interests of UK business.  The body works with the UK government, international legislators and policy-makers to help UK businesses compete effectively. 

Depositary and Trustee Association (DATA)

The Depositary and Trustee Association (DATA) represents the industry views of depositaries of open-ended investment companies and trustees of unit trusts within the UK.  

Futures and Options Association (FOA)

The FOA is an industry association for firms and institutions carrying on business in futures, options and other derivatives or which use such products in their business. 

IFA Promotion (IFAP)

IFAP promotes the benefits of independent financial advice to consumers and businesses. The website offers a search facility to find local IFA's in your area. 

International Financial Services London (IFSL)

IFSL's role is to promote the international activities and expertise of UK-based financial services.  Its members come from a range of financial and business backgrounds. 

Investment and Life Assurance Group (ILAG)

ILAG is a representative trade body concerned with the future of the investment, life assurance and pensions industry. It is led by practitioners, and aims to identify and develop industry best practice. 

National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF)

The National Association of Pension Funds is the principal UK body representing the interests of the employer-sponsored pensions movement.  Among its members are both large and small companies, local authority and public sector bodies. 

National Outsourcing Association (NOA)
The NOA is an independent body whose objective is to ensure effective business management through the promotion of best practice, service and innovation in the application and development of outsourcing. The NOA's role is to lobby UK government, OFCOM and the European Union on matters affecting the collective interests of its members and to deliver information on market developments and lessons learned from business outsourcing.

Pensions Policy Institute (PPI)

The Pensions Policy Institute is an educational charity which plays a unique role in providing non-political, independent comment and analysis on pension policy in the UK. 

Tax Incentivised Savings Association (TISA)

TISA represents the interests of financial services companies who specialise in tax incentivised savings and investments products, namely Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) and Personal Equity Plans (PEPs).
