Douglas is Chairman of Invista Real Estate Investment Management plc. He was previously Chief Executive and more recently Chairman of Insight Investment Management from its creation in 2001 until 2008.
Daniel became Chief Executive of the IMA in December 2012. Previously he spent 11 years as Director General of the Association of Investment Companies where he led on a number of complex regulatory and industry challenges. He was also Chairman of the Personal Finance Education Group (pfeg) and a member of HM Treasury’s Financial Services Forum. Most recently, Daniel spent two years at the Phoenix Group.
Dr Jonathan Lipkin
Director, Public Policy
Jonathan is responsible for the development and external representation of the IMA's policies on pensions and long-term savings, as well as the IMA’s research activities which help to shape these policies. Jonathan is also responsible for the IMA's collection and dissemination of industry statistics, and for IMA Sectors which help consumers and advisers find and compare investment funds.
Jane has responsibility for capital market issues. She deals principally with legislation and rules impacting on fixed income, derivatives and equity markets and on clearing and settlement, as well as related topics such as initiatives with regard to financial stability.
Director, Corporate Governance and Reporting
Liz is responsible for corporate governance, engagement issues and company reporting. Liz provides the secretariat to the Shareholder Voting Working Group and represents IMA on the Institutional Shareholders Committee, the Confederation of British Industry's Companies and Financial Reporting Committees, the Corporate Reporting Users Forum and the IASB's Standards Advisory Council.
Director, Training and Education
Victoria has responsibility for developing training and qualifications in the investment management sector. She has set up a new consumer website www.investinginfunds.org to build private investors’ understanding of funds. Victoria also works with other organisations on policy to improve ‘financial capability’ and she is a board member of Pfeg, a leading financial education charity in schools.
Director, Authorised Funds and Tax
Julie has responsibility for all matters relating to investment funds - product regulation, distribution, fund accounting, operations and tax. She also has responsibility for all tax matters impacting our members, including VAT. She is a member of the Board of IMA’s European Federation, EFAMA.
Guy has responsibility for wholesale regulation, operational risk, prudential issues, financial crime, non-fund operations, equity dealing issues, institutional mandates and the interaction with pension funds and IMA's legal and IT resource. Guy is also a Director of the UK's Joint Money Laundering Steering Group and a member of the Banking Liaison Panel.
Navdeep co-ordinates the IMA's media relations programme on a wide range of issues affecting the UK asset management industry, including the size and shape of the industry, regulation and tax as well as long term savings and pensions generally.
